Throughout the school year, my YES Futures Project has faced many challenges that formed what it is today, such as removing the whole class garden from the project idea. However, my project has faced other obstacles that it had covered for the school. For example, Kipapa Elementary School does not have a lesson on the importance and truth about agriculture and what goes into the food they eat.

The DOE has previously denied voluntary access to the Farm to School program for all participating schools and corresponding curriculum (to Kipapa Elementary), which makes it difficult for the students to be aware of and make better decisons based on their foods, and expand the curriculum of the school.
